Our Coronavirus Statement

We want you to enjoy your stay at Glenlockhart Cottage in the knowledge that you are in a clean and safe environment

We have always adhered to the very highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness, however during the coronavirus pandemic we have included the following special measures and additional cleaning procedures

We have introduced a 3 day ‘cottage quarantine' period between check-outs and check-ins This allows us ample time for the additional cleaning measures detailed below and enables us to retain all the comfort and amenities our guests are accustomed to, such as cushions and throws, guest library, board games, dvds etc

The 72 hour quarantine period meets with current government guidelines and is blocked out in our online availability calendar as soon as bookings are made

This means that you can book any dates showing on our calendar as 'available' in the knowledge that the cottage will have been quarantined in advance of your arrival

Surfaces such as toilet, shower, basin, kitchen sink and work surfaces are steam cleaned and disinfected

All other surfaces are cleaned and sanitised, including tables, chairs, door handles, light switches, appliances, stair handrail, remote controls, rubbish bins, keys and key fobs

Our cleaners wear masks and gloves

The cottage is thoroughly ventilated between bookings and during the cleaning process

All bed linen, bathroom and kitchen towels are washed at temperatures of 60 degrees centigrade

All crockery, cutlery, glassware and cookware are washed at temperatures of 60 degrees centigrade between bookings

We continue to greet guests on arrival however the process is currently contactless, we maintain social distancing and we do not enter the cottage

Guest information is available to download rather than in a folder

Government advice is changing frequently, and we ask all our guests to follow the latest advice and consider their own personal circumstances before deciding if they should travel

Please note that Government guidelines in Scotland are different to those in England

Is Glenlockhart Cottage open again?

We re-opened on 1st August 2020 in line with current Scottish Government guidelines, and we are now taking bookings for 2020 and 2021

What happens if I book now and the Government impose new travel restrictions?

If you have booked directly through our website (www.glenlockhartcottage.co.uk) you will not lose your money. We would first ask that you consider rescheduling your holiday to mutually agreed new dates

If rescheduling is not possible for you, and new UK/Scottish Government travel restrictions specifically prohibit your holiday, we will be happy to offer a full refund

If you'd like to speak to us about your holiday or making a booking please call us on 07887 571 770 or email stay@glenlockhartcottage.co.uk

If you have booked through an online travel agent (such as Trip Advisor) please contact the agent direct to discuss your booking
